This is a Chinese pop song called "A True Story" 

A girl named Xu Xiujuan loved the cranes so much that when she graduated from college, she returned to her hometown and worked hard to protect them. One day in September 1987 she found out that the two tanager cranes she had raised did not return home before dark, and she fell into the swamp and died trying to find them. She was only 23 years old at the time. This beautiful girl was called "China's first martyr of environmental protection" by the state.

This is a 1990 song sung by Zhu Zheqin. This song uses a narrative approach, writing the story as lyrics and arranging the music. The style of this song is very bleak and sad, and the composer tells the beginning of the story in a narrator's voice at the beginning, then leads to the melody of the song, making the narrative feel of this song sound more real.

The human destruction of mountains, rivers, and forests has led to abrupt environmental changes that have caused many species to lose their habitats and become endangered. And sixty-seven percent of endangered species suffer from habitat degradation and loss. Humans have caused very serious environmental pollution in order to achieve their own goals. And through the description of a very sad true story, this song hopes that more people can pay more and more attention to the issue of environmental protection.
